DECORATIVE CONCRETE PRODUCTS | Acid Stain Perma-Cast® Sierra Stain™

Perma-Cast® Sierra Stain™ is a penetrating reactive stain that chemically combines with cured concrete to produce permanent variegated coloring effects. Perma-Cast® Sierra Stain™ is perfect for exterior hardscapes artificial rock formations, interior floors, walls, statuaries and countertops. Because there are so many variables involved in the chemical reaction process i.e. the age, porosity, texture, and color of the concrete substrate each application of Perma-Cast® Sierra Stain™ produces unique results.

Different application techniques produce different finishes. Spraying with an all-plastic pump-up sprayer is a common method that produces a "mottled" effect. Puddling the stain will produce darker shades. Moping with a clean 100% cotton mop and/or clean cotton rags produce "swirling" effects. Sponging produces yet another finish. All application equipment and tools must be acid resistant.

Wide color variations, mottling, and uneveness of the color is normal and usually desired. If these coloring effects are not desired, Perma-Cast® Sierra Stain™ should not be used. When a more uniformly colored concrete is desired for new concrete installations, Butterfield Color® Elements™ Transparent Concrete Stain, Uni-Mix® Integral Color or Perma-Cast® Shake-on Color Hardener should be specified.
